Salt, 1 tsp. Turmeric powder, ¼ tsp. Asafoetida) <br /> <br />For tempering:- <br />2 tbsp. Oil <br />1 tsp. Cumin Seeds <br />1 tsp. Mustard Seeds <br />1 tsp. Asofietida <br />10-12 Curry Leaves <br />2-3 Green Chillies <br />1 tsp. Red chilly powder <br />1 Tomato, chopped <br />3 cloves of garlic crushed <br />3-4 Kokam <br />1 tbsp. Goda masala <br />½ tsp. Sugar / jaggery <br />Salt. to taste <br />¼ cup Coriander leaves <br />Water as required <br /> <br /> <br />Method:- <br />- Add water to the pressure cooked dal and whisk it. <br />- In a deep pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, garlic, curry leaves, asafoetida, green chillies and roast until garlic turns slightly golden brown in colour. <br />- Add the dal and stir. <br />- Now add tomatoes and coriander leaves, goda masala, red chilli powder, mangosteen (Kokum), sugar and stir. <br />- Boil on high flame for 7-8 minutes. <br /> <br />Amti is ready to eat! <br /> <br />HAPPY COOKING!!!
